Grand Theft Auto VI seems to have taken so long to arrive at this point that it really doesn’t feel real that we’re now finally less than six months away from playing it for the first time. The two official delays to the game have only dialed up the tension, though we now seem to be on a clear runway to the big day in November.
In the meantime, you may well be in the mood to get the GTA juices flowing with the most recent game in the series, with GTA V still serving as the premier experience in that department for the time being. Happily, there’s still plenty going on, including some freebies you can grab if you’re still playing the multiplayer modes and signed up to GTA+.
Over on the official Rockstar website, the developer has broken down the latest goings on in GTA Online, and there are plenty of nice items for players to pick up if they are subscribed to GTA+. The big one is the Übermacht Sentinel GTS, which can be claimed from The Vinewood Car Club showroom or Legendary Motorsport before June 10.
If you’re looking to customize your existing collection of vehicles, you can also grab Magenta/Cyan Flip Chameleon Paint and Magenta/Cyan Flip Chameleon Wheel Paint at all vehicle workshops.
Junk Energy is also front and center this time around, so the Junk x Jackal Tee and Junk x Jackal Wide Pants have also been added to GTA+ wardrobes free of charge. At the same time, Junk Energy Time Trials are also paying out double rewards, and you can get a free Coil Junk Energy Inductor from Pedal and Metal Cycles. Lastly, Junk Energy Skydives are also paying out 4X GTA$ and RP for your troubles.
There are also some interesting discounts available to members, including Executive Office Properties and their upgrades and modifications, all of which are 60% off (again until June 10). Finally, you can also pick up 2X GTA$ and RP in Vehicle Cargo Sell Missions and 2X GTA$ and RP on Special Vehicle Work.
There’s no word yet on how Rockstar plans to handle the online portion of the GTA VI experience, but it’s a fairly safe bet that it’s going to be a fresh start for almost all of us. While that could obviously be a little galling, we should get out there and enjoy this last hurrah that GTA V is having, particularly if Rockstar plans to turn it off at some point to replace it with their new behemoth.
