While Star Wars has entered a prolific Disney+ era with acclaimed series like Andor and Ahsoka, The Mandalorian is still widely regarded as the franchise’s biggest modern hit. After the release of the blockbuster The Mandalorian & Grogu film, which served as a bridge between Season 3 and the franchise’s next chapter, fans are eager to see what’s next for Din and his adorable companion.
With no official plans for Season 4 of The Mandalorian announced just yet, the series’ previously written fourth-season storyline appears to have been largely reworked into The Mandalorian & Grogu, leaving the show’s long-term future unclear. However, fans don’t need to worry too much, as The Mandalorian is officially returning later this month on Friday, July 31, 2026 (via Zatu).
You may have missed it, but The Mandalorian is making an official return at the end of the month with the brand-new The Mandalorian: Adventures – Sworn to the Creed Expansion. Sworn to the Creed is the second major expansion for Unexpected Games’ cooperative board game, building on the foundation established by the base game and the earlier Clan of Two expansion.
The core game is designed for one to four players to relive the events of The Mandalorian Season 1 through a series of narrative-driven missions, with each player controlling a unique character equipped with their own deck of abilities. Using a unique and intuitive card system, players must work together to defeat enemies, complete objectives, and overcome mission challenges, with optional hidden-traitor scenarios as well.
Sworn to the Creed, which will be available for retail purchases on July 31 for roughly $40, shifts the focus to Season 3 of the Disney+ series, adapting Din Djarin’s quest for redemption and the Mandalorians’ mission to reclaim Mandalore. The expansion introduces four new playable characters, including Grogu and The Armorer, alongside four new story missions that recreate memorable moments such as exploring the Mines of Mandalore and piloting Din’s N-1 Starfighter.
Beyond its new campaign content, the expansion adds character progression, more dangerous enemy abilities, new equipment, mercenary missions, and tougher crisis mechanics designed to present more of a challenge without significantly increasing the game’s complexity.
Rather than simply adding more scenarios, Sworn to the Creed expands the narrative by following the show’s later story arc, allowing players to experience the reunification of the Mandalorian people and their battle to reclaim their ancestral home world, in tabletop form at least. The Mandalorian: Adventures comes highly recommended, and is well worth checking out if you’re a fan of the show/film and are looking for a new way to experience Din and Grogu’s epic adventure.
