Ever since Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales sailed into theaters back in 2017, fans have been left wondering when Disney will finally bring the beloved swashbuckling franchise back to the big screen. While the long-awaited sixth installment remains in development, one of the biggest unanswered questions has nothing to do with Captain Jack Sparrow or the future of the Black Pearl, but instead with the fate of Davy Jones.
Widely regarded as one of Disney’s greatest villains, the cursed captain of the Flying Dutchman appeared to meet his end in At World’s End, only for the fifth film’s post-credits scene to tease his shocking return nearly a decade later. Since then, however, Disney has remained silent on whether that cliffhanger will actually be addressed in Pirates of the Caribbean 6.
With multiple scripts reportedly considered over the years and no official story details revealed, fans are still left speculating over Davy Jones’ potential resurrection, but thanks to an upcoming release, they won’t have to wait much longer to see the infamous villain again (via PCS).
Captain Davy Jones is making an official return in 2027 with the official release of Premium Collectibles Studio’s high-end statue featuring the notorious antagonist of the Pirates of the Caribbean films. It’s a 1/3-scale collectible sculpture that’s available for pre-order now for $2,100.00 USD on PCS’ official website and $2,305 on Sideshow during a limited-edition run of just 150 units.
The statue is intricately detailed and measures 29.5″ inches (75 cm) tall, and comes in two variants, a standard and deluxe edition, both expected to ship later this year and likely set to arrive in early 2027. He stands on a base depicting “rotted wood, dripping sea sludge and algae making the entire piece appear as if it were just plumbed from the depths of the Caribbean Sea.” You can take a look at the stunning statue here:
Whether Davy Jones ultimately returns in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 remains one of Disney’s biggest unanswered questions, but fans don’t have to wait to celebrate one of the franchise’s most iconic villains. With its incredible screen-accurate detail and imposing 1:3 scale, PCS’ new collectible statue is a fitting tribute to the legendary captain of the Flying Dutchman while everyone waits to see what the future holds for the series.
