Pokémon Legends: Z-A Free Download Available For 24 More Hours

Despite being criticized for its visually restricting setting and failure to bring anything new to the table, Pokémon Legends: Z-A joins the list of many Pokémon games that have undergone the test of time by gaining more popularity the further it has been from its launch back in 2025.

As one of the final installments in Gen 9 of the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Legends: Z-A took players to a fictionalized version of Paris known as Lumiose City, with events taking place five years after the end of Pokémon X and Y. Despite originally being planned to launch as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, it later made its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 as well as returning in December 2025 with paid DLC, Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension.

Now, over a year on from the launch of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Nintendo is back with another free event, encouraging players to return to the streets of Lumiose City and earn some exclusive in-game rewards. To welcome Season 11 of the Ranked Battles in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, our Trainers will be able to sharpen their skills further as they take on four-player, real-time battles against other Trainers from across the world.

However, with the Season 11 Ranked Battles kicking off back on 14 May, you have until 4 June to get stuck in and earn those rewards, meaning that you have just 24 hours left.

In Ranked Battles, players will go head-to-head with other Pokémon Legends: Z-A players all over the world to, as you can guess, battle their Pokémon. Each battle will see you bag yourself points based on your performance which, over time, will raise your rank. Starting at Rank Z, you can keep climbing the leaderboard until you reach Rank A at the top.

Taking place in Ranked Battles will net you three major rewards: battle rewards, promotion rewards, and season rewards, and as part of hitting Rank Y through to S, you can earn Mega Stones which have now returned as promotion rewards. This will include Greninjite, Delphoxite, Chesnaughtite, Baxcalibrite, Sceptilite, Swampertite, and Blazikenite stones which can be used to trigger Mega Evolutions during battle.
