Sony Pictures Entertainment has announced that Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially surpassed the $1 billion milestone at the international box office in just 12 days, becoming the second-quickest movie to ever do so after Avengers: Endgame. This brings its cumulative global total to $1.67 billion thanks to its record-shattering 10-day domestic gross of $655.1 million, which is the biggest of all time. Thanks to this global haul, Brand New Day is already the 12th highest-grossing movie of all time (not adjusted for inflation) after just two weekends in theaters.
What makes this record even more impressive is that only 15 other movies in history have ever grossed more than $1 billion internationally.
