ScreenRant’s top picks for the best shows to watch on Paramount+ this weekend, May 29–31, 2026, include two Yellowstone spinoffs and a long-running crime series. Paramount+ subscribers have enjoyed several new Taylor Sheridan series this year, including The Madison, and still have upcoming titles like Frisco King, formerly titled NOLA King, a spinoff of Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King starring Samuel L. Jackson.
In the meantime, these three Paramount+ original series are some of the very best to watch right now, whether you’re just diving into the series from episode 1 or are all caught up and ready for the latest installment. Also, be sure to check out ScreenRant’s latest weekend TV binge guides for Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, HBO Max, and Disney+.
Criminal Minds: Evolution
Criminal Minds: Evolution, the sequel series to Criminal Minds, just returned with a new season, marking the 19th overall season for the beloved crime franchise. Now totaling more than 350 episodes, Criminal Minds continues its historic run on Paramount+, where the first two episodes of season 19 are now streaming. With so many episodes to sink your teeth into and a 20th season already confirmed, Criminal Minds is still one of the safest bets on streaming.
New episodes of the 10-part Criminal Minds season 19 will drop weekly now through late July, making this a consistent show to return to as we head into summer. As the third season of the Evolution format, Criminal Minds has altered its signature “case of the week” formula to include a season-long arc as well, similar to other celebrated Paramount+ crime shows like Dexter. If you loved the original series but haven’t seen any of Evolution yet, now is the perfect time to start watching.
Dutton Ranch
Dutton Ranch is once again the #1 most-watched show on Paramount+ this weekend following the premiere of its fourth episode, which some fans are already calling its best. Unlike one other Yellowstone spinoff series that’s divided critics and audiences, Dutton Ranch has proven itself to be a smash hit right out of the gate, earning a Rotten Tomatoes score of 89%, which is notably better than the first season of Yellowstone itself.
Dutton Ranch follows fan-favorite Yellowstone characters Beth and Rip as they build a new life in Rio Paloma, a fictional town in Southern Texas, following the events of the Yellowstone series finale. The series is undoubtedly off to a great start, pulling in massive viewership on Paramount+ with five episodes still yet to be released on the platform. Although a second season has yet to be confirmed, all signs point to Dutton Ranch being the most celebrated Yellowstone expansion series on Paramount+ for quite some time, and fans don’t want to miss out.
Marshals
Once again, and likely for the last time in a while, Marshals is the best show to watch on Paramount+ this weekend following the release of its season 1 finale on May 24, which viewers widely consider the best of the series. Even though there has been a less-than-ideal rollout for the first season of this Yellowstone sequel series, the viewership has been massive throughout its first season, which led to Marshals being renewed for a second season already.
Apple TV’s New 8-Part Spy Thriller With A Perfect RT Score Is Officially A Must-Watch
Apple TV’s new 8-part spy thriller series just premiered with a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, officially making it a must-watch this weekend.
Marshals follows Kayce Dutton, played by Luke Grimes, as he joins a team of U.S. Marshals to hunt dangerous outlaws following the events of the Yellowstone finale. The series also features a handful of other Yellowstone characters, such as Mo (Mo Brings Plenty) and Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater). Although some devoted Yellowstone fans may find themselves underwhelmed or even disappointed by Marshals, there is a fair share of viewers who greatly enjoy the series and don’t understand the negative feedback.
All things considered, if you loved Yellowstone and all Sheridan shows, Marshals is worth watching, especially now that the entire first season is streaming exclusively on Paramount+.
