The official Warner Bros. X page has now shared a behind-the-scenes video announcing that production has commenced on the Lord of the Rings spinoff movie The Hunt for Gollum. The video opens with a comic bit of Andy Serkis, in full motion-capture regalia, walking onto the soundstage, asking what scene they’re doing first, and being told it’s one of his scenes. The camera follows him crouching on a pedestal and instantly getting into character to say, “And… action!”
The shot then cuts to a craggy mountain range where the film is shooting, panning out further and further to expose the Middle Earthian setting of one of the scenes that is about to be shot. See the video below:
