A new trailer for the adaptation of Hoover’s novel Verity has been released. The film follows Lowen Ashleigh (played by Johnson), who is tasked as a ghostwriter for the renowned author Verity Crawford (played by Hathaway); however, things take a dark turn when she discovers chilling notes and wrestles with disturbing confessions about Verity’s husband, Jeremy (played by Hartnett), as Lowen tries to separate fiction from reality.
