We all know that tomorrow is the big day for Grand Theft Auto VI fans as, after a very long wait, pre-orders for perhaps the most anticipated video game release of all time are finally going live.
The news was announced earlier this month, as Rockstar finally broke its radio silence to confirm that pre-orders would go live on 25 June and, not only that, but the announcement was made alongside a brief teaser trailer, giving us a glimpse into GTA VI‘s soundtrack and cover art.
Now, for the first time since that announcement, Rockstar is back with another announcement, and this time it is confirming the Ultimate Edition and pre-order bonuses for Grand Theft Auto VI will still be going ahead tomorrow. However, it is still yet to give us even a glimpse at those prices.
In the meantime, what do we know about this Ultimate Edition? Well, according to Rockstar, it will include “an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story.”
Additionally, players who pre-order the Standard or Ultimate Edition of Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of 20 November will also bag themselves the Vintage Vice City Pack, which features “a collection of items that flash back to when the neon burned brightest.” Intriguing, to say the least.
There is no denying that the Ultimate Edition of Grand Theft Auto VI will appeal to the vast majority of players, especially considering we now know it will include all sorts of exclusive items. However, with no hints of a price point, we can expect to find out tomorrow how much we will be spending on the first Grand Theft Auto entry in over a decade.
With some claiming that they would happily spend over $100 for a copy, others are not so sure, and it is understandable considering that a cost of living crisis is affecting many parts of the world. Luckily, it seems as though this will not be the case, at least according to Geoff Keighley, who took to Twitter/X to reveal that Grand Theft Auto VI would cost $80 for the Standard Edition, and $100 for the Ultimate Edition.
Although Keighley is best buds with many people in the industry, Rockstar is yet to confirm these prices, so it is still worth taking with a pinch of salt until the official reveal tomorrow, 25 June.
With Grand Theft Auto VI expected to be the biggest and best-selling video game of all time, we are finally on the homestretch with the game expected to launch on 19 November following multiple delays. Here is hoping that the pre-order launch will leave us with happy tears.
