Star Trek: Strange New Worlds unveils a new sizzle reel teasing what more is to come in season 4.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 just premiered on Paramount+ with a stunning time-travel episode that changed the history of Earth, Mars, and humanity forever. Promised as a return to the episodic intergalactic voyages of classic Star Trek, Strange New Worlds season 4 also contains several genre-bending ‘big swings,’ including a puppet episode.
At Paramount+’s Star Trek Universe San Diego Comic-Con Hall H panel, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds executive producer and co-showrunner Akiva Goldsman revealed a sneak peek teaser with tantalizing glimpses of what else season 4 has in store for Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and the USS Enterprise. Watch the footage below:
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 recently revealed the episode titles for all 10 episodes. Season 4 will be the last to consist of a full 10-episode order. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds‘ fifth and final season, expected to premiere on Paramount+ next year, will only be 6 episodes, building towards a farewell for Pike’s run as Captain of the Enterprise.
Following the time travel and dinosaurs (an ode to Jurassic Park) in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4’s premiere, the rest of the season will take Star Trek to places it’s never been before, like an hour of mind-bending horror, a noir episode inspired by Casablanca, a madcap comedic romp while the Enterprise crew is on shore leave, and the episode with puppets made by The Jim Henson Company.
The back half of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 will also feature an episode centering on James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley), continuing his evolution into the future Captain of the Enterprise, before culminating in the enticingly titled “Tomorrow’s Enterprise,” which could meld Strange New Worlds with the future of its eponymous starship.
