First released as a series of high fantasy novels by author Robert Jordan, alongside the help of Brandon Sanderson on its first three installments, The Wheel of Time found itself becoming a television series thanks to Amazon Prime Video back in 2021.
With the first season consisting of eight episodes and with a cast led by Rosamund Pike, The Wheel of Time welcomed a second season in 2023, with a third and final season airing in March 2025. Unfortunately, the fantasy drama series was canceled shortly after due to high production costs and viewership trends.
However, with the series receiving positive reviews from viewers, it was not long before a global campaign titled #SaveWoT was set in motion, with some fans even threatening to cancel their Prime Video subscriptions in protest. Unfortunately, all of this came to nothing as there is still no news on a potential renewal of The Wheel of Time.
The Wheel Of Time Is Getting A Second Shot Thanks To A New Game
That being said, it is not all doom and gloom, as it seems as though The Wheel of Time franchise is about to receive a second chance thanks to the launch of Wheel Of Time: The One Power.
As part of the War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time board game collection that has now begun its Kickstarter campaign, fans of the beloved books and show can get their hands on The One Power edition courtesy of creator Dire Wolf.
There are currently three bundles up for grabs, with each one available to pledge on. This includes The Dragon Reborn, The One Power, and The Last Battle Bundle, with each costing $90, $123, and $289, respectively.
The One Power Bundle is set to ship to fans in June 2027 and consists of War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time® – The One Power™ Edition, a board game inspired by the hit franchise and featuring miniatures of some of our beloved characters. It also comes alongside optional add-ons, each costing an additional fee. This includes Bela and Hopper promo cards, Acrylic Standee Upgrade Pack, War of the Dragon Component Upgrade Pack, War of the Dragon Neoprene Playmat, Map of the Westlands Art Print, and much more, with all of it being available to check out on the Kickstarter page.
The One Power Looks Like The Ultimate Bundle For Fans
This upcoming board game release was clearly made by fans, for fans, and will be the perfect addition to the lives of any fans of The Wheel of Power, especially if they are missing the hit television adaptation. At the time of writing, the Kickstarter campaign for this The Wheel of Time project has currently earned a whopping $1,166,993 out of its $50,000 goal.
