90 Day Fiancé season 2 aired in 2014, and the cast members’ lives have changed significantly since the show’s sophomore season was on the air. The second season of the TLC series helped cement the show’s status as one of the most intense and dramatic reality franchise on television. With iconic couples such as Mohamed Jbali and Danielle Mullins, who brought an intense sense of drama while sharing their journey with the world, 90 Day Fiancé season 2 packed an unbelievable punch that kept viewers coming back for more. After over a decade, things have changed tremendously for the cast.
In 2026, 90 Day Fiancé has become one of the most watched and talked-about reality TV franchises in the world. With over forty spinoffs and more than a decade’s worth of content to rifle through, it can be tough to keep track of cast members who don’t stick around to enjoy the public eye. While some 90 Day alums are consistently available and visible online, others fade back into their lives without cameras, which makes them tougher to find later on. Thankfully, the cast of 90 Day Fiancé season 2 has stayed somewhat visible in the wake of their season.
Chelsea Macek
American citizen Chelsea Macek and Nicaraguan Yamir Castillo had an unlikely meeting when Chelsea met pop star Yamir when he was performing at a concert. When they appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 2, Chelsea and Yamir lived with Chelsea’s parents in her native Illinois. They moved to Chicago, where Chelsea found work at an elementary school, and the pair married.
Chelsea and Yamir divorced in 2016, with Chelsea citing Yamir’s rejection of her bisexuality as a significant reason for their divorce. However, shortly after the divorce, Chelsea dated a woman until 2017. Chelsea remarried after 90 Day Fiance season 2, a helicopter mechanic named Daniel Colombo Verni, and works at a medical marijuana dispensary in Colorado Springs.
Yamir Castillo
Yamir moved to Chelsea’s native Illinois and hoped to continue his music career stateside, prompting the couple to move to the city of Chicago despite both of them being unemployed — which was a significant source of tension for the couple. Still, the pair married before a divorce was finalized in 2016. As of 2026, Yamir still lives in Chicago and is working as a musician, and he revealed in 90 Day Fiancé Bares All that he and Chelsea still speak to each other. In 2021, Yamir became an American citizen, having passed the citizenship test after years of struggle.
Danielle Mullins
Ohio native Danielle Mullins and her Tunisian partner 15 years her junior, Mohamed Jabali, had some of the most heated fights ever seen on 90 Day Fiancé, with Danielle frequently threatening Mohamed with deportation. The pair met in an online chatroom, and Danielle’s children did not support the relationship. During the show, Danielle was revealed to have been illegally using fraudulent checks and someone else’s credit card. By the end of the season, Danielle failed to get an annulment from Mohamed and had to divorce him, having failed to deport him as she threatened to during their difficult fights.
Danielle starred in season 2 of the spin-off 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life, and as of 2026, she is still working as a registered nurse while enjoying life with her grandchildren.
Mohamed Jbali
In one of the more surprising events of season 2, Danielle and Mohamed tied the knot despite their constant fighting. Less surprisingly, the marriage was short-lived, and Mohamed quickly fled for Florida. Danielle filed for an annulment after finding pictures online of Mohamed with another woman, but the court ruling insisted they must have a divorce instead, which was finalized in 2017.
Unlike Danielle, Mohamed is not active on social media but apparently has found love in his life, and has welcomed a child. While previously working as a truck driver, Mohamed got a new job in 2023. It was revealed early in the year that Mohamed is in the day trading business. In a shocking turn of events, the former couple confirmed they keep in regular contact despite their high animosity during and shortly after season 2.
Justin Halas
PE teacher Justin and Colombian dance teacher Evelyn met through their love of physical activity, having crossed paths when Justin came to Colombia for the 2013 World Games. Soon after their meeting, the couple had trouble when Justin neglected to tell his family about Evelyn before their whirlwind engagement after only three months together. One of the show’s success stories is that the couple is still together. Despite a rocky start, the couple married and welcomed their son, Nathan, in 2020. Justin lives a private life away from the cameras, and his Instagram is private.
Evelyn Halas
When Evelyn came to California to be with her new fiancé, Justin, things didn’t go smoothly. The pair fought when Justin expected Evelyn to do most of the housework, and he was initially reluctant to introduce her to his family. However, Evelyn did get on with his family, and the couple got hitched. The former reality TV stars are still married, and Evelyn gave birth to a son in 2020. Formerly known as Evelin, Evelyn has also legally changed her name to the spelling “Evelyn” after season 2 ended. Evelyn is pretty active on social media and regularly posts updates.
Brett Otto
Single father Brett Otto met Daya De Acre, originally from the Philippines, online, and the pair soon it off, with Daya moving to Washington to be with Brett. Brett had a daughter, Cassidy, from a previous relationship and struggled with money. The couple began living in America with two friends of Brett’s.
Brett and Daya overcame their financial difficulties and married when the show ended. Now, they live as a blended family, with Brett’s daughter from a previous marriage and their daughter, born in 2017. Since then, the couple have appeared on the spin-off 90 Day Fiancé: Quarantined, where it was revealed that Brett lost his job during the pandemic and Daya was working to support the family.
Daya De Acres
However, Daya’s first days in America were troubled as she faced racist and discriminatory accusations from Brett’s family, particularly from Brett’s mother, who accused her of using Brett for a Green Card. Similarly, the mother of Brett’s daughter from a previous relationship accused Daya of only being interested in Brett for his money.
Against the odds, Brett and Daya did go down the aisle — with Brett’s mother declining to attend the ceremony. Now, the couple have another daughter, Isabella, and have been back to the Philippines to visit Daya’s family. Daya works as a medical technician at an assisted living facility and was an essential worker during the height of the pandemic.
Jason Hitch
Florida native and veteran Jason Hitch met Brazilian Càssia Tavares online, having previously dated a friend of Jason’s. The pair frequently fought over Jason’s tight control over finances and his frugality which he often took to extreme levels—still, the couple married by the end of the season.
Jason and Cassia separated in 2017, and their divorce was finalized in late 2018 after Jason had been physically abusive towards her. After their divorce, Jason described himself as a “balloon artist, florist, and pet groomer” on Instagram and appeared single. In 2021, Jason died from complications of COVID-19 at the age of 45.
Cássia Tavares
When Cássia moved to America to be with Jason, she was shocked at how frugal Jason was, to the extent that he did not want to part with money to buy necessities for their new home. Regardless, the couple tried to make things work, starting a cookie-baking business together and eventually marrying at the show’s end.
The couple divorced in 2018 after Jason’s arrest for domestic abuse. Cássia briefly returned to Brazil but returned to the US to attend the University of South Florida. In 2021, Cássia married an Italian personal trainer named Giuseppe, and the couple had a ceremony in his native country.
