Despite any grievances we may have had about Cyberpunk 2077 when it first launched back in 2020, there is no denying that it is one of the best looking video games of all time. Set against the stunning yet dystopian backdrop of Night City where neon-lights soak the streets, skyscrapers stand like sentinels, and the dust blows in from the Badlands, it is one of the most recognizable settings, and it is nowhere that fans return there to this day.
Now, with CD Projekt RED hard at work on a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, as well as The Witcher IV which will be arriving first, fans are excited to see what the future will hold for the dystopian RPG, especially as it feels hard to believe that it could look any better than it does now.
Well, that is unless you are Immersive Gaming on YouTube, who has recently pushed Cyberpunk 2077 to its limits by increasing its settings to the max and showcasing it all on LG OLED C5 65-inch television. No, this is not an ad, but it certainly seems as though pushing the boat out when it comes to your television will definitely make games such as Cyberpunk 2077 look better than ever before.
Running the beloved RPG on the PlayStation 5 Pro, the video description reads as follows: “Cyberpunk 2077 has never looked this immersive. This dark room OLED showcase highlights the incredible neon lighting, ray tracing reflections, HDR contrast, and atmosphere of Night City running on the PS5 PRO paired with the LG C5 OLED.”
There is no denying that the results are stunning as you see every inch of Night City in perfect clarity as Immersive Gaming cruises around its familiar streets. “Driving through the city at night with rain, reflections, and deep OLED blacks creates one of the most cinematic gaming experiences I’ve seen so far,” they continued.
With televisions of this standard reaching heights of $1000, this is not a set-up that all of us would be able to reenact, but it does give us a glimpse of what a potential Cyberpunk 2077 sequel could look like if CDPR pushes the boundaries of a technology that is always evolving.
For now, however, fans have taken to the comments to share their thoughts on Immersive Gaming’s experience. “Peak gaming,” one comment read. “My dream.” Another said, “Really looks wonderful on PS5 pro.”
If you are able to run Cyberpunk 2077 on ultra settings with the use of the PlayStation 5 Pro and a top-of-the-range television, these are the results you could face, and damn, does it not just look beautiful?
