Game of Thrones is getting a surprising new release.
The franchise has officially confirmed a new release for Fall 2026, revealing 15 hours of additional content set in the world of Westeros. Game of Thrones remains a strong fantasy universe for HBO, who have continued to produce stories across its timeline following the end of the main series in 2019. This includes the most recent spinoff, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, alongside the forthcoming House of the Dragon season 3, which continues its chronicle of the Targaryen civil war, the Dance of the Dragons.
Now, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has confirmed the release of a new collectible set, Game of Thrones – 15th Anniversary: The Complete Collection (4K UHD) – Limited Edition Library Case, which will be released on November 3, 2026. The set, which is now available for pre-order, is a limited-edition collector’s set called the 15th Anniversary Ice & Fire Collection, featuring numbered steelbook library casings for seasons 1 through 8 of the original show. All are available in 4K UHD format, while also including a collectible booklet.
In addition to every season of Game of Thrones, the set also comes with over 15 hours of bonus features. This includes Game of Thrones: Reunion Special, a two-part event hosted by Conan O’Brien that aired in April 2021. It also includes the documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, alongside the film Conquest & Rebellion: An Animated History of the Seven Kingdoms. Audio commentaries for each episode, deleted scenes, and behind-the-scenes featurettes round out the many new hours of Westeros content, available exclusively in this collector’s edition set.
This library case is just one part of how HBO and Warner Bros. are celebrating the show’s 15th anniversary. In April 2026, a special episode of The Official Game of Thrones Podcast was released, celebrating the milestone for the series. It’s also a big year for Westeros as a whole, with the premiere of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and continuation of House of the Dragon being important milestones for the franchise.
In addition, earlier this year, the first theatrical movie in the fantasy world was announced. Game of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest will showcase the ancient rise to power of House Targaryen, intended for a big screen release. The new 4K UHD release is the biggest that’s directly connected to the original show, though, as the series remains the connective tissue between every other show in Westeros that’s come after. Thanks to this, the release makes for an anticipatory finale to the show’s anniversary celebration.
With the release containing plenty of exclusive content for those who purchase it, the specifics of what to expect from some of the bonus material seems like it’ll be left for when the collection gets release. With all eight seasons available to watch, the bonus features, audio commentary, and deleted scenes will help add plenty to the 15th anniversary celebrations. As the formative show in the franchise, Game of Thrones will always be remembered for the world it shaped and the stories it’s helped bring about in the process.
