It may have come to an end back in 2019, but the hype surrounding Game of Thrones is stronger than ever. Thanks to spin-off shows House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the world created by George R.R. Martin continues to expand, and now, following the success of the former, which is currently airing its third season, another title is capturing fan’s attention.
Courtesy of mobile game Game of Thrones: Dragonfire, players can now keep up with the events of the Dance of Dragons to go alongside the current weekly releases of House of the Dragon.
Released just last month, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is an “epic 4X strategy game” where you can raise dragons and conquer the skies on Android. Published by Warner Bros. Games, players are tasked with maintaining their dragon army, forming powerful alliances, and conquering the Seven Kingdoms as you wage war against Westeros in order to lay claim to the Iron Throne.
As the official synopsis reads, “Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is an epic 4X strategy war game where you lead your House through conquest, diplomacy, and dragon warfare in the most immersive medieval fantasy game on mobile” and, as such, it already boasts over one million downloads and currently sits at a 4.8 star rating on Google Play.
Not only that, but each week welcomes brand-new updates to the game which correspond with the Targaryen civil war that is currently going on during the events of House of the Dragon. In these limited-time events, players can enjoy story-driven cutscenes as well as exclusive rewards. Additionally, there are watch-along events with even more limited-time rewards if you just so happen to be a fan of the show. New content is added each Monday, following the premiere of the latest episode of House of the Dragon dropped by HBO and HBO Max on Sunday.
So far, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire has welcomed some of the show’s most iconic moments, including the Battle of the Gullet which we saw in the first episode of season three. Additionally, players could watch exclusive moments with characters such as Aemond Targaryen and the One-Eyed King. Not only that, but players were able to unlock brand-new dragons in the Hatchery, including the newly introduced Sheepstealer as well as Vermax.
If you are a fan of the show and watch each week, then you will be able to earn exclusive rewards by linking your accounts. Better yet, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is completely free to download.
