A Spider-Man: Brand New Day concept trailer raises interest in the real thing.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the next step for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man franchise, which includes some of the biggest movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date. Taking a look at the cast of the next Spider-Man movie, with characters like the Hulk, the Punisher, Scorpion, and many more, it becomes easy to see how this is a different kind of Spider-Man adventure. With a new director, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘ Destin Daniel Cretton, all eyes are on how this new version of Spider-Man will play out, with fans eagerly awaiting a new trailer.
On YouTube, TeaserCon imagined what the next Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer could look like with a fan concept.
The footage gives fans an extended look at Stranger Things star Sadie Sink’s debut in the MCU movie and imagines what Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk could look like in gray form following Marvel rumors. Other characters who show up in the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer concept include Scorpion, Tombstone, who has yet to show up in any official promotional material, and more.
Tickets have officially gone on sale for the MCU’s next Spider-Man movie today, on Wednesday, June 17. However, at the time of writing, no new Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer had been released. Fans are patiently waiting for more footage from this street-level Spider-Man story, which is being faced by Holland as a complete reinvention of Peter Parker. Marvel deems it a back-to-basics film, with the franchise finally using many classic elements from Spider-Man comics. While the upcoming MCU movie releases in theaters next month, a lot is still not known about the next Spider-Man movie.
For instance, the nature of Sink’s MCU role remains a mystery. Reportedly, the Stranger Things star is playing the X-Men’s Jean Grey, but Marvel, Sony, and the actress have yet to confirm that. So far, Sink was only seen briefly and from behind in Spider-Man: Brand New Day footage. Tombstone, another villain who will reportedly appear in the Spider-Man movie, has yet to show up in any trailers. The character will be played by Marvin Jones III, who also gave life to Tombstone in the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Among the many rumors related to Spider-Man: Brand New Day is one that claims Ruffalo’s Hulk will turn gray at some point in the movie. Jean Grey or not, Sink’s character is shown to manipulate people’s minds, which could be how Gray Hulk emerges. That said, there is no official confirmation that the Hulk will be switching colors in the 2026 MCU movie. What has been confirmed by official Spider-Man: Brand New Day merch is that Ruffalo will leave behind Bruce Banner’s Smart Hulk persona and return to the wild, Savage Hulk from early MCU movies in Brand New Day.
Hopefully, the next official Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer will not take too long to swing around. Until it does, the fan concept showcases a few exciting routes the MCU movie could take with characters like Spider-Man, the Hulk, and more. Whether any of those suggestions connect with what Spider-Man: Brand New Day is doing remains to be seen.
