The hit Nickelodeon live-action superhero show, The Thundermans, is soaring back with a new release.
Originally premiering on Nickelodeon in October 2013, the family sitcom, The Thundermans ran until 2018. It featured four seasons and 98 episodes, and it ranked as one of Nickelodeon’s most popular series for kids. The Thundermans is about a family with superpowers trying to live a normal life, and it won Favorite TV Show at the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award. The show has featured several spin-offs, adding to the “Thunderverse,” such as The Thundermans Return (2024), The Thundermans: Undercover (2025), and now, the upcoming sequel movie, Clash of the Thundermans (2026), set to premiere in September.
ScreenRant is now exclusively able to present the release date and key art for Clash of the Thundermans. Paramount+ has revealed that the latest installment of The Thunderverse will premiere Thursday, September 3 on Paramount+ and debut on Nickelodeon at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) that same day.

This latest installment is the sequel to The Thundermans Return. Many of The Thundermans characters are back, and the poster highlights the Thunderman family being split down the middle. Kira Kosarin (Phoebe), Jack Griffo (Max), Maya Le Clark (Chloe), Chris Tallman (Hank), Diego Velazquez (Billy), and Addison Riecke (Nora) are all featured.
With The Thundermans season 4 completed, and the previous movie ending with the city being saved, the final scened showed that Dr. Colosso could be secretely plotting. Chloe developed new powers, and the Hero League demands that the family sends her to a superhero boarding school to learn how to control her powers. This divides The Thundermans, as half of the family wants to hand her over for her own safety, and half want to ignore the orders.
Clash of the Thundermans is written by Jed Spingarn, Sean W. Cunningham and Marc Dworkin and produced by Paramount Television Studios. The resurgence of this nostalgic show has a lot of streaming power because the 2024 reunion movie had great ratings and became a streaming hit. Because it performed so well, it suggests that there is a lot of staying power with The Thundermans franchise moving forward.
